The Busy Season Has Arrived!

      I hope you had a pleasant summer. We enjoyed lots of fresh salads from the garden.

      In spite of the hot dry season, we did get some good results from some of our efforts.

                 We have been harvesting tomatoes all last week. Time to snap into action. Salsa, ketchup, and sauce. Plenty to work with here. Still more waiting to be picked.

In the spring Marty pruned some of the ancient trees on our and the neighbour's property- yes he asked first, of course.  There are a lot of apples to harvest now. They may not be big or really pretty but they sure taste good!

We found a second-hand press on-line. It was bigger than the picture led us to believe. I am really looking forward to home made cider.

                                                     The dogs are all tuckered out!
